Top 36 - Final Group & Wild Card Announcement

Von – You’re All I Need – Ok start to the show. Musical theatre. Not terrible but not right for this competition. I liked him and he reminded me of Clay Aitken.

Alex –I think that’s why they call it the blues – Terrible. Horrible. Stupid. Too old to be that dumb.

Ju’Not – Hey There Delilah – I wanted to be grabbed and he poked.

Taylor, Felicia and Arianna – All forgettable.

Kristin – Give Me One Reason – 2 words: Carnival Cruises. She can sing. Her ability to sing does not make a good performance.

Nathaniel – I Would Do Anything For Love – Not a bad singer but the performance left me cold. I think he could have picked a better song his first time out. I think he will make it through.

Scott – Mandolin Rain – It was just okay. It was not hot. And we need hot. He is going to get the sympathy vote.

Kendall – Listen to The Girls – Very cute. Good singer. Country is harder to connect with the audience.

Jorge – Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me – Loved it. He worked hard and brought it. I liked his performance.

Lil Rounds – Be Without You – She did a good job. Contemporary,

Lil Rounds, Scott and Jorge make it through. No surprise at all.

Now the Twist! Judges are going to bring back 8 from the final group and allow them to perform again. Then they will pick the final 3. That was not the original plan so that means these guys were pretty bad the first time around: Von, Jasmine, Ricky, Meghan, Tatianna, Matt, Jessie, Anoop

I agree that Von, Jasmine, Ricky, Tatianna, and Matt deserve a second chance. I thought Meghan, Jessie and Anoop should not. I would have brought back Ju’not, Kristin and Nick/Norman. I am DEVASTED he is off the show! I just wanted to hear him one more time. Stephen and some other folks weren’t even asked back for this part! Or maybe they opted out on their own?!? That was strange.

So I hope they choose Ricky and Tatianna as wild cards. Crazy T will at least keep it lively!
